Automotive sponsors YES Fun Run. |

LAS VEGAS, NV – AMS
Automotive was proud to sponsor the 2002
Young Executive Society (YES) Fun Run.
The event was held in conjunction with
the AAPEX Show. Several AMS employees
participated in the event, which
featured a two-mile run along the Las
Vegas strip. Each participant earned a
commemorative shirt to mark the event.
The YES Fun Run is held each year during
the AWDA Conference, and is designed to
be the main revenue source for YES
charitable activities. All proceeds are
set aside for education purposes,
including sponsorship support of a
Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium
Scholarship Fund. |

After the event, members of YES were
very pleased to announce that over
$3,300 had been raised in support of
these causes. In addition, AWDA has
agreed to provide matching funds.
YES was formed in 1967 to develop the
talent and knowledge of young executives
and managers in the automotive
aftermarket, and to provide the next
generation of industry leaders with a
voice in both AWDA and industry affairs.
Over the years, YES has offered its
members important opportunities to
expand their skills and to network with
other young aftermarket executives. Past
activities include the YES Case Study
Contest, The AWDA Young Executive of the
Year award, and the current Yes
Mentoring Program.
YES membership is open to all employees
of AWDA member companies that are under
the age of 45. There are no additional
AWDA dues for YES membership.
Three employees of AMS are currently
members of YES. According to Chris
Ewing, Regional Sales Manager at AMS
Automotive, “YES provides a great
opportunity to network with other
industry executives. In addition, the
collective efforts of YES members are
helping to provide stability within the
aftermarket, by ensuring that future
generations become involved.” |
