Gene Shaw named 2003 Manufacturers'                   Representative Of The Year.

Fenton, MO – AMS Automotive has selected Gene Shaw as their 2003 Manufacturers’ Representative Of the Year. Gene is based in Stevensville, Maryland and has been employed by Chick Capoli Sales for the past 12 years. He has worked the Maryland area for the past 20 years, selling to all levels of distribution. Gene has represented AMS in Maryland and northern Virginia since 1999.

During the past year, Gene played a major role in securing the business of several major new accounts in the state of

Maryland. These accounts included warehouse distributors, transmission specialists, and multi-store operations. Gene also had the responsibility of organizing the changeovers and working with counter personnel and outside sales personnel training them regarding the AMS program.

During October of 2001, Gene attended technical training courses held at the AMS training center in Fenton, MO. The information and the training presented during those courses has helped Gene to gain more knowledge in selling the AMS Automotive program to different levels of aftermarket distribution. He also used this information to entice prospective customers, which resulted in changeovers for AMS.

According to Chris Ewing, Eastern Regional Sales Manager of AMS Automotive, “Gene is our eyes and ears in the marketplace, and he effectively communicates with me regarding issues and opportunities. He does an excellent job pre-arranging quality meetings with prospects, and he works tirelessly with existing accounts helping them to grow their business.
