Fenton, MO – AMS Automotive, Inc. has selected Marty Stone as our 2006 Manufacturers’
Representative Of The Year. Marty is based in Tacoma, WA and has provided marketing and sales support
for AMS in the Pacific Northwest since February 2001. He is one of the founding partners of
AmeriWest Sales, Inc
During the year, Marty played a pivotal role in further increasing AMS’ status as the market
share leader in the region. His efforts to support our “Sell The System” Initiative, led
existing distributors to add additional AMS product lines including heavy-duty/high-performance “HP”
clutch kits, new flywheels and clutch hydraulics.
The synergy created by “Sell The System”, coupled with Marty’s efforts to promote the value, quality
and coverage of our line, resulted in sales increases for nearly every one of our customers.
Contributing to Marty’s success is the fact that his verbal and written communication skills are
thorough, timely and effective. Furthermore, he is extremely knowledgeable regarding AMS products,
competitive factors and market forces. By combining the two, he effectively addresses all levels of
the distribution chain thru bulletins, letters, emails, product presentations, technical presentations
and sales calls.
Marty understands that the sale truly isn’t completed until the parts are successfully installed.
That’s why his efforts extend beyond the warehouse distributor. During 2006, he spent a great deal
of time working with jobbers and installers regarding inventory requirements, promotional strategies,
marketing programs, warranty issues and the investigation of sales potential for product upgrades.

manufacturers’ reps. He understands the close relationship that must exist between the manufacturer,
distributor, jobber and installer in order to achieve success, and he serves all of these levels
with distinction.”
Marty was previously named AMS Automotive Manufacturers’ Representative Of The Year in 2004.
He and his partner, Keith Ziegler, were honored with the Manufacturers’ Representative Agency
Of The Year award in 2005. |
