Fenton, MO – AMS Automotive, Inc has selected Phil Marchbank of Atlantic Sales & Marketing as their 2009 Manufacturers’ Representative of the Year. Based in New Jersey, Phil has represented AMS in the Connecticut area since 2007. For the last 17 years Phil has worked with Setter & Associates until the merger with Atlantic Sales & Marketing in 2004.

In 2009, Phil played an intricate member of the team in further increasing AMS’ status as the market share leader in the region. He was directly involved in organizing and implementing 3 major changeovers through logistics planning, repackaging of inventory and training sales personnel. Phil also extended his efforts to working with jobbers and installers. His follow-up was praised by customers as a refreshing breath of fresh air when so many factories make promises that are never kept as far as field work.

His fieldwork included a focus on the “Sell the System” Initiative along with warranty related issues. Phil successfully conveyed the need to diagnose the entire clutch system, and replace all necessary components including the hydraulics, flywheels and clutch kit. He also promoted the numerous AMS technical tools including product bulletins, warranty diagnostic posters, the on-line AMS IDD system and the AMS toll-free tech line. As a result, overall warranty rates decreased.
