First, we pride ourselves on being sticklers for accuracy because many
installation problems are the result of catalogs containing incorrect listings. At first
glance, other catalogs may appear to be accurate, but beyond popular applications, the
mistakes become obvious. That problem is eliminated with AMS because we conduct our own
primary research based on information provided by the various car and truck manufacturers.
This information is then verified with in-vehicle testing, ensuring an added degree of
accuracy. Furthermore, we don’t over consolidate using lower grade substitutions
that offer only marginal cost reductions. Instead, we rely on the same O.E. technology
geared toward the specific requirements of even the most demanding vehicles and
driving styles (See Ford Mustang).
Second, to ensure that our customers are viewed as clutch specialists,
we offer comprehensive coverage on all applications, ranging from Acura to Yugo. No other
clutch catalog offers the coverage of AMS and you can take that to the bank, literally!
With listings on 1028 kits, 709 hydraulics, 100 new no-core flywheels, 68 clutch forks
and 34 clutch cables, lost sales due to inadequate coverage are virtually eliminated with AMS.
Our coverage extends from many overlooked older applications right up to the newest
vehicles on the road today. What’s more, because we value substance over symbolism,
if it’s listed in the catalog, it’s available.
Third, although an explosion of SKU’s has made cataloging more
challenging, AMS cataloging is user friendly. We’ve made our application
section simple and convenient to use by inserting detailed model listings
(See Toyota Corolla) that logically sort otherwise confusing data. Any additional
relevant information is listed near the corresponding application
(See 5.9L Dodge truck). As an added convenience, we’ve included tri-lingual warranty
details, a tri-lingual explanation of available kit options, along with technical
bulletins and product spotlights.
The introduction of the latest AMS catalog ensures that all components are the
proper match by combining AMS clutch kits and hydraulics together with new no-core flywheels.
Keep in mind that AMS continues cataloging exchange flywheels remanufactured by Standard
Flywheels, Inc. for applications in which we don’t supply a new flywheel. As a
rule, ALL Standard Flywheel part numbers are 3 or 4 digits. ALL AMS new no-core
flywheel part numbers begin with a 167 prefix and are 6 digits.
Another important aspect of AMS coverage is our line of authentic heavy-duty
and high-performance options called Series Upgrade (SR) Kits
(See GMC medium truck).
Designed to resolve problems inherent with certain vehicles, these units offer a proven
solution to high failure rates caused by using standard-duty components.
Furthermore, in order to address the growing import market,
we’ve created Select Engineered (SE) Kits that provide content-sensitive professional
technicians
with identical O.E.M. or O.E.S. fit, form, and function. The SE Kit program leads the
industry in terms of O.E.M./O.E.S. coverage, accounting for nearly two-thirds of total
import clutch sales.
By taking just a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the accuracy,
breadth, and ease-of use of our catalog, we’re confident that you’ll soon
understand what an important tool AMS cataloging can be for anyone selling new clutch
systems.
