was founded in 1974 with 100
auto parts stores. Today, there
are over 3,400 CARQUEST parts
stores and over 40 CARQUEST
distribution centers located in
Canada, Mexico, and the United
States.
With 18,000 part numbers at the
average CARQUEST store, and over
150,000 part numbers at each
distribution center, CARQUEST
offers next day delivery on many
hard-to-find items.

Parts purchased at
CARQUEST that are submitted for a
warranty claim are backed the CARQUEST
Coast-to-Coast Guarantee, which means
they may be exchanged free of charge at
any CARQUEST store in North America.
To better service their customer base,
CARQUEST offers three quality levels on
many of their product lines. CARQUEST
Gold products are their highest quality,
offering extra features and extra
durability.
Since 1998, AMS Automotive has been a
proud supplier of CARQUEST New
Clutch Kits, while also backing the
program through a variety of promotional
programs including CARQUEST Motor
Sports.
Each five (5) piece CARQUEST Kit
contains the highest quality pressure
plate assembly, disc assembly, release
bearing, pilot bearing/bushing, and
alignment tool. Informative technical
bulletins and installation tips are also
contained in most kits. In addition to
offering over 1000 kits, the CARQUEST
program also includes dual-mass
flywheels and solid flywheel
replacements.
In addition to availability of over 1000 kits, the Carquest program includes
dual-mass flywheels, solid flywheel replacements, new no-core flywheels, and a
comprehensive line of clutch hydraulics covering nearly 100% of all applications.
In order to streamline the process of
special orders, AMS is fully integrated
with CARQUEST Vision, a powerful
Internet based special order fulfillment
system. Vision provides quick access and
full visibility to our available
inventory. In addition, CARQUEST
customers have access to part
information/specifications, order
details and shipment status, all in a
real-time environment.
We are also pleased to be a supporter of
the Sloan Family Building for
Aftermarket Studies. Based on Northwood
University’s Midland, Michigan campus,
this facility will house the
undergraduate degree program in
automotive aftermarket management, the
University of the Aftermarket, and the
executive level industry training
programs.
