New
Generation Premium New Clutch
Kits were introduced by Westling
Manufacturing in 1992. Designed
to meet the growing demand for
matched components, New
Generation was one of the first
programs to combine multiple
clutch components in one
package.
In 1998,
AMS Automotive purchased the New
Generation Premium New Clutch
Kit program from Westling. Based
in Princeton, MN, Westling was
one of the industry’s largest
and finest clutch rebuilders. As
a long-time customer, AMS had
been supplying Westling with
most of the components contained
in the New Generation program.

After purchasing
the New Generation program, AMS formed a
joint-venture agreement with Westling,
designed to combine the strengths of our
new program with the strengths of their
reman programs. In doing so, AMS and
Westling were able to provided renewed
availability to a nationwide program of
new and remanufactured clutch kits,
until Westling closed in 2005.
Today, each five
(5) piece New Generation Premium Clutch
Kit contains a pressure plate assembly,
disc assembly, release bearing, pilot
bearing/bushing, and alignment tool.
Most New Generation Kits also contain
detailed technical bulletins specific to
that application. Each kit is backed by
expert toll-free technical assistance
and the industry’s most comprehensive
warranty program.
In
addition to availability of over 1000
kits, the New Generation program
includes heavy-duty/high-performance
upgrades, dual-mass flywheels, solid
flywheel replacements, new-no core
flywheels, and a comprehensive lineup of
premium clutch hydraulics that provide
nearly 100% coverage on for all
applications.
